Oshkosh Museum Anthropology Storage Upgrade with Montel
Montel, a global leader of high-density mobile storage shelving system solutions, is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed the anthropology collections storage upgrade project for the Oshkosh Public Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
In conjunction with Montel’s Authorized Distributor, ARTistic Storage, this specialized museum storage contract was for the supply and installation of Montel’s Mobilex® high-density mechanical mobile storage system and SmartShelfTM 4-Post hybrid shelving system, including specialized shelving, drawers and trays.

The Oshkosh Public Museum, which attracts an annual attendance of visitors from across the state and beyond, is the second-oldest public museum in Wisconsin. The Museum houses more than 250,000 artifacts and historical documents representing the Lake Winnebago Region, and incorporates ten permanent exhibit displays. The Museum is housed in the historic 1908 Sawyer Home, designed by notable Oshkosh architect William Waters. The Museum supports the city’s long-standing tradition of preserving heritage and history and serves as a historical and cultural anchor for the nearly 600,000 residents of Wisconsin’s Lake Winnebago region. The Oshkosh Public Museum is located at 1331 Algoma Boulevard.
