For its public stacks and its private archive of rare books, documents, and film, the Salt Spring Island Public Library, in British Columbia, chose SmartShelf 4-Post shelving and Aetnastak cantilever racks to expand its small footprint and improve its flexibility, all while keeping its classic style.

Aetnaskak racks are so versatile that Vancouver Public Library also selected them for their storage project, and to help modernize their newly revitalized seven-story multimedia hub and conference center. The library also replaced its traditional shelving with powered mobile storage systems to save space and protect patrons and the collection against damage from seismic activity.
