Through nearly 300 state and local chapters, the AIA advocates for public policies that promote economic vitality and public wellbeing.
Members adhere to a code of ethics and conduct to ensure the highest professional standards. ISO 14001:2015
ISO 14001: 2015 specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable an organization such as Montel to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal requirements and other requirements to which the organization subscribes, and information about significant environmental aspects.
ISO 14001:2015 applies to those environmental aspects that the organization identifies as those, which it can control, and those that it can influence. It does not itself state specific environmental performance criteria. The purpose of this standard is to help all types of organizations to protect the environment, to prevent pollution, and to improve their environmental performance.
CUL Listed Certification
Underwriters Laboratories® (UL) is a global independent safety science company offering expertise across five key strategic businesses: Product Safety, Environment, Life & Health, University and Verification Services.
UL's breadth, established objectivity and proven history symbolize trust and enables to help provide peace of mind to all. UL partners with manufacturers to provide safe products to consumers through UL testing, certification and follow-up audits.
Because the UL Mark is so important, Montel's Engineering Team had to submit a design layout of the UL Mark to a UL label center for review to verify that all required information is in an acceptable format. UL maintains a database of suppliers who are authorized by UL to print labels with the UL Mark.
ADA Certified Products
The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. § 12101) is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on disability. It affords similar protections against discrimination to Americans with disabilities as the Civil Rights Act of 1964,[1] which made discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin, and other characteristics illegal.
In addition, unlike the Civil Rights Act, the ADA also requires covered employers to provide reasonable accommodations to employees with disabilities, and imposes accessibility requirements on public accommodations.

Green Building Council
The Canada Green Building Council is a not-for-profit, national organization that has been working since 2002 to advance green building and sustainable community development practices in Canada. The CaGBC is the license holder for the LEED green building rating system in Canada and supports the WELL Building Standard and GRESB (Green Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) in Canada.
Together with our membership of over 1200 industry organizations and more than 1700 individual chapter members involved in designing, building and operating buildings, homes and communities, the Council has made excellent inroads toward achieving our mission of reducing the environmental impact of the built environment.
